Support Your Ester Community Library
Support the Ester Village Library
There are many ways that you can contribute to the community library in the village of Ester, Alaska. You can become a member, whether you live in Ester, or not. We offer a variety of opportunities to support the library financially through your donations. We also welcome volunteers who contribute their time to organize and host programs and events, serve as board members, or help improve and maintain facilities.
Your contribution to the library, whether through financial contributions, memberships, or volunteer time, keeps the John Trigg Ester Library going. We thank you!
Membership
Become a Member!
The Ester Village Library is open to the public to browse and check out books but encourages membership support. The library was started by Ester residents with too many books on their hands who wanted to be able to walk to their local library. Membership is open to anyone—you don’t have to live in Ester to be a member. Currently, an individual membership is $10 per year, and $25 for families.
Member Benefits
Members have the ability to surf the web on our high speed internet, reserve the library for meetings or events, vote at the annual general membership meeting and run for and serve on the Board of Directors. Members also receive a monthly newsletter by email, alerting them to upcoming activities and events.

More Donation Options
Our Square Site makes it easy for you to donate or pay your membership online.
Here are several additional options for donating.
Buy a Donor Leaf
The birch tree in the library has leaves available for $50, $100, $250 or $500. You may purchase a leaf for yourself, your family, your pet or dedication to someone. Please indicate in the “Message” section if you would like your leaf in the name of someone/thing other than yourself. We have room for 20 characters per line, and 2 lines on the leaf.
Buy a Bookshelf Name Plate
Purchase a name plate that will be affixed to a bookshelf in the soon-to-be-built New Library, thereby dedicating that shelf to a person or pet of your choice. Plates are $50 and funds are dedicated for the capital campaign for the new building. Please let us know if you want it associated with a particular author or section, and we will try to attach it nearby.
Buy a Cookbook
The Throwdown Cookbook is filled with mouthwatering recipes for pies from past LiBerry Music Festivals.
Donate to the Ruth Jasper Children’s Fund
Your donation of any amount supports children’s literacy.
(If you want to have your donation go to the children’s fund, please include a note when you donate online, send a check, or drop off your payment. )
