Programs & Events

Have you attended one of our library lectures? We have had presentations from artists, authors, builders and more. Or perhaps you have attended a seed swap or seed-saving workshop! In the future, we hope to be offering book clubs, children’s storytime, and more. Join ourĀ Programs Committee, or just keep an eye out for the fun happenings at the John Trigg Ester Library, right here in YOUR community!

In addition to its annual meeting, the JTEL throws several community events and fundraisers each year that serve to keep the library operating and put money by for our new building, or just to have a great time. These are:

  • Seedstock (a seedsavers’ get-together and seed donation/checkout event held in February or March)
  • The Tape & Tarp Ball (a dance and duct tape costume contest held in April or May)
  • The LiBerry Music Festival & Berry Pie Throwdown (local live music and a berry pie contest held in August)
  • Readers on the Run (a 5-k footrace, costume contest, and magnetic poetry contest held in October)
