The library is pleased to offer supporters of the library the option of donating to the John Trigg Ester Library Endowment, an agency endowment to support the long-term operation of the library. The fund is managed by the Alaska Community Foundation. To make a donation to the endowment and help support the library for generations to come, please see the ACF donation page and make sure to choose the John Trigg Ester Library Endowment from the drop down menu.
You may also designate part of your Permanent Fund Dividend to the endowment through Pick.Click.Give. Simply call or e-mail us to let us know that your PCG donation to JTEL is to go to the endowment, or, if you wish, to any other dedicated fund, and we will honor that wish. Thank you!
The library has these other dedicated funds:
- the Capital Campaign fund, dedicated to the construction of a new library on Village Road designed to Passive House standards and with sufficient space for readers of the greater Ester area for decades to come. Bookshelf dedications are designated to the Capital Campaign.
- the Friends of the Ester Library fund, dedicated to use by the Friends and the JTEL for programs, operations, and endowment-building in accord with policies to be set by the Board of Directors. Please contact Carla Helfferich or Monique Musick for more information or to join the Friends.
- the Ruth Jasper fund, dedicated to the children’s collection, programs, and related expenses for the Ruth Jasper Children’s Room.
