Construction Committee Meetings, Dec. 21, 2010 submitted by Hans Mölders Mike Musick and I met with Thorsten Chlupp of Reina Alaska LLC at his house on Chena Ridge. His house will be certified under PassivHaus standards and will be the farthest north Passiv Haus. We got the grand tour and became convinced to strive for something similar for the JTEL building. After a lunch break, Mike and I met with USKH's Gary Pohl, Matt Prouty, and their engineer, whose name I forgot. We pressed the basement idea and explained some Passivhaus standards. We now have to await the revisions made by USKH and the new price tag; which will cost us money. | |||
