Agenda:

  • Choose chair and secretary
  • Overview of project
  • Funding needs and likely sources
  • Review of current architectural and site plans
  • Timeline
  • Designs remaining
  • Construction estimates per Matt Prouty and the committee
  • Procurement policy

Notes:

present were: Hans Molders, Todd Hoener, Mike Musick Eric Glos and Nancy Burnham.

Hans was selected as the chair of the committee. Nancy was selected as the secretary.

An overview of the project was discussed. The architectural designs were reviewed and discussed at length. Suggestions to the plans in cluded making it a box, eliminating the bumpouts at the rear of the building. Also suggested was a basement to house all of the mechanical components of the building. Hans will meet with Gary Pohl to discuss the plans and any prohibition of getting rid of the bumpouts. He will also discuss the possibility of a full or partial basement. Decreased costs were the primary reason for the suggestion.

Possible scenarios for the power pole location were discussed. All were in agreement that the line should not go across Village Road. The concensus was the the power pole would be located at the Main St border of the property and then a buried line would be appropriate. Eric will check with GVEA to see if there are any conflicts with that plan.

Nancy inquired about possible estimates for sections of the project. She needed to get these estimates in order to finish the financial section of the 501c3 application. It was agreed the USKH should provide those numbers.

The timeline for the project and the funding sources were discussed. The consensus was that the construction should not begin until all the funding has been secured. Hans brought up the need for the community to see progress being made in order to stay engaged and willing to take part in more fundraising efforts. The site preparation would be a good show of progress. More on that to be discussed at the next meeting scheduled to be held at the Golden Eagle Sunday December 5, 2010.

Respectively submitted
