LiBerry Pie Throwdown this Saturday!

If you haven’t already heard, the annual LiBerry Pie Throwdown and Music Festival is this Saturday!  Featuring 2 great bands, UnSupervised and The Mighty Untouchables, the day kicks off with berry pie entries for the pie contest between 2-4 PM, Saturday, September 23, at the Clausen Cabin. Judging will occur shortly thereafter, followed by a Parade of Pies across the street to the Golden Eagle, around 5:30-6:00PM.

This year, there will also be a non-contest pie-by-the-slice for $5, so if you are a pie maker and would just like to contribute your pie to the cause, please bring it to the Golden Eagle between 5:30-6:00, as well.  All but the winners in the two contest categories (sweet and savory) will also be on sale at that time.

UnSupervised will take the stage at 6:00 PM, playing a lively mixture of folksy rock and classic rock.  At 8:00, we will auction off the top two pie winners in each category (sweet and savory), then The Mighty Untouchables will begin with their brand of Chicago blues and Midwestern soul.

Don’t miss this event – 6:00-10:00 PM at the Golden Eagle!  $10 suggested donation at the door.
