Where to Find the Library The library is located off the village square in downtown Ester, Alaska, at 3618 Main Street in the lower level of Frank's house, a red-and-white barnish building next to the log castle (you'll see what we mean when you get to the village square). The library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Sunday. Please contact the librarians if you have questions. JTEL, Inc.
We're asking people to hold off on bringing more books to the library for the time being, as we don't have room for all the ones we have now! However, we do accept financial and in-kind donations. Land & building planning The new library building will be built along Village Road, Meeting minutes on its design are available for review; new floor plans have been submitted as part of a packet to the fire marshal. The library gazebo was completed and dedicated on August 1, 2010 as the Ida Lane Clausen Gazebo. One aspect of a modern library that is very important is high-speed internet access, which, as Ester residents know, is in short supply here in the Ester Fire Service District. Contact ACS if you want DSL or T-1 access, and let them know that there is demand, that you want it for the library too, and that there will be increased demand as time goes by. | ||||
