Library Community Garden

fillthisspace

The new library building will sit on .83 acres of land. Two parcels next to it add considerable space for greenbelts and gardening. While construction is ongoing, it will be difficult to have garden plots in all the possible spots for a future library garden, but this season construction will be limited, so a few spots are available for container gardening, such as next to the road and the driveway, or for small plots near the future building footprint or the gazebo.

gardentable

A small garden was started in 2007 by Jake Mackey, and a pleasant table and chairs for enjoying the summer sunshine were placed at the top of the overlook by Frank Therrell. Other members of the community have planted flowers, herbs, and vegetables. There's plenty of space, and some nice topsoil available to plant in, so bring your extra garden plants down and help beautify your village!
