Tape & Tarp & groundbreaking celebration

July 30, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

This year we will be celebrating the official groundbreaking for construction! Meet at 488 Village Road for the traditional Golden Shovels at 6:30 pm, followed by the Tape & Tarp Ball across the street at the Malemute Saloon at 7 pm for the music of local band Cotton Ginny. Wear your best rubber boots!

The 2016 poster á la art nouveau, created by Amanda Bent.

The Tape & Tarp Ball is a dance, a fundraiser, an excuse to have a party, and a challenge for local fashion designers. Try out your sewing skills on blue (or green or any other color) tarp or house wrap and duct tape, traditional building materials here in the far north. Come dance  and listen to great local music and help raise funds for the John Trigg Ester Library!
